Joanne is a seasoned People leader with a 15-year track record in organizational effectiveness and talent acquisition. She is passionate about improving the experience of work for individuals and companies alike.
Her expertise spans across diverse industries, including technology, financial services, utilities, and international governmental organizations. Joanne has successfully navigated both local and global remits, demonstrating her adaptability and cross-cultural competence.
In recent years, Joanne has been an integral part of People Leadership teams in tech companies, partnering with C-suite executives on talent strategy and execution, as well as building teams in fast-growing markets.​

Education and professional training
Joanne holds a BSc in Psychology, specializing in Brain & Behaviour from Queen's University, Canada, and a Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resources, specializing in Organizational Behaviour from the University of Toronto, Canada. She actively follows the latest research in psychology and integrates new developments, including somatic work, into her practice.

Joanne's coaching journey began as a nationally ranked fencer, coaching varsity teams at her universities. As an HR Professional, she has worked with individuals and leaders across tech, financial services, and utility companies on effective hiring and building high-performing teams.
Her coaching style is informed by her extensive HR background, academic knowledge, and ongoing passion and research in psychology. By integrating somatic work and other contemporary practices, Joanne offers a holistic approach to personal and professional development.

Personal life and interests
Joanne holds dual Canadian and Hong Kong citizenship and currently lives in Singapore with her family. She has lived, worked, and studied in six countries.
This global exposure aligns with Joanne's childhood dream of being a travel show host sampling food from around the world – a passion she continues to pursue. An outdoor enthusiast with a particular fondness for mountains, Joanne brings a sense of adventure and exploration to both her personal and professional life.
