Professional and Leadership Experience

With over 20 years of experience in product, strategy, and marketing, Carissa has held leadership roles at Google, Nokia, and Procter & Gamble, driving initiatives across Asia Pacific and Africa. A key highlight from her tenure at Google was leading a $1 billion investment to accelerate digital transformation in Africa.

 

Throughout her career, Carissa has been a strong advocate for wellbeing, mentorship, and inclusion. A firm believer in the transformative power of technology, she continues to contribute to the ecosystem as an angel investor and startup advisor.

Board Experience

Carissa serves on the board of a thrift bank in the Philippines. She is an active angel investor focused on supporting startups in Southeast Asia, India and Africa. Her experience advising and mentoring entrepreneurs enriches her coaching practice with diverse perspectives.

Education and Professional Training

Carissa holds a BA in Economics and International Studies from Yale University and a Master in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She is working towards her International Coach Federation (ICF) accreditation and is a certified integral coach through New Ventures West.

A lifelong learner, Carissa is currently pursuing an Executive Master in Change degree at INSEAD, where she is deepening her understanding of human behavior and honing her ability to lead people and organizations through complex strategic change.

Personal Details

Originally from the Philippines, Carissa has lived, studied, and worked in Australia, China, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand and the United States. Currently based in Singapore, Carissa enjoys reading fiction, doing yoga and playing tennis. She can often be found exploring new landscapes with her husband and two young boys, who keep her active and curious.
