Cathy is an experienced professional coach, facilitator and speaker supporting leaders in creating more life-giving worlds for themselves and others around them.

 

Professional and leadership experience

 

Prior to beginning her career as a coach in 2008, Cathy worked as a business leader for 28 years beginning in New York after receiving her MBA.  Her most recent position was Head of Marketing at Global Sources (NASDAQ: GSOL, now acquired by Blackstone), a business-to-business media company.  There she focused on developing individuals and supporting a cross-cultural group to work together as a team, able to meet significant KPIs for the company.  In this role, Cathy also led change initiatives to create greater understanding between business functions and IT groups, significantly improving their ability to communicate, work together and contribute to the business.

Board experience

 

Cathy has served on several boards in leadership positions, including Horizons, a social service organization in Chicago (board member, Vice-Chair and Chair) and the Asia Professional Speakers Singapore (APSS) association (Exco member, Secretary, Vice President, President and Past President).  She has also advised boards like AWARE in Singapore.

Education and professional training

 

Cathy has an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School and a BA in English Education from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.

She is a Certified Professional Coach (International Coach Federation – PCC level, New Ventures West) and a Certified Leadership Transition Coach (Fischer Group International).  

 

Cathy has studied Systemic Team Coaching with Dr. Peter Hawkins, Leadership Maturity Framework (LMF) with Dr. Maja Stanojevic-Andre, Mastery of Deep Facilitation with Peter Fullerton, and Action Learning with Ng Choon Seng.

She is certified in MBTI Step I and II, FIRO-B, Facet5, iEQ9 Enneagram, Big 5 Personality Traits and Thiagi Game & Simulation Facilitation, and has substantial experience implementing 360 feedback assessments and DiSC™ personality profiling tools.

 

Fields of interest

 

Cathy’s focus is on supporting leaders to increase their self-awareness, understanding of the impact they’re making, courage and clarity in difficult conversations – and to change how they’re being in the world so they have the impact they want to make.  She uses Integral coaching methodology to enable development across a range of professional and personal arenas, leading to deeper sustainable change.

Personal Details

 

Originally from the United States, Cathy has lived in Singapore and worked across Asia for more than 24 years.  She loves reading, challenging crossword puzzles and miniature dachshunds.
