Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation

This three-hour session is a practical introduction to integral & integrative mindfulness practice. To those who do not have a mindfulness & meditation practice, it can be a way of getting started. For those who have one already, it aims to provide a helpful and holistic context to inform your experience, & deepen your practice. Subjects and learning points include: - Functional definitions of meditation & mindfulness - Establishing your basic meditation state easily - The best basic breathing form for mindfulness - Four pillars & practice points for integral meditation & mindfulness - Holistic witnessing The session will include back-up notes and the recordings of the meditations done in the session will be made available to participants for their own follow-up practice. The practices explained in this session are designed such that you could then go on to diversify and deepen your meditation practice over the years from a sound & solid base. ---------------------------------------------- About the facilitator Toby is a meditation teacher, the founder of Integral Meditation Asia. He has been practicing and teaching meditation for over twenty-five years, five of which were as a Buddhist monk within the Tibetan tradition. In his teaching and coaching he combines practical meditation techniques from the world’s great wisdom traditions with the cutting-edge practices that are currently emerging from both the integral and evolutionary consciousness movements.
